Amy began her career in childcare in 2006 as an apprentice, gaining qualifications and working her way up within a nursery setting. With over 12 years of experience in a management role and as a parent of two, she is passionate about providing high-quality care for children and is dedicated to training and upskilling staff to ensure continuous improvement and adaptability within the nursery. As a Level 3 Forest School Leader, Amy loves encouraging children to explore the world around them and hopes to integrate elements of outdoor learning into Pippa’s House Nursery. She is incredibly excited to welcome new families to Pippa’s House Nursery Ash Vale and looks forward to working in partnership with parents to provide the very best start for every child.

Jess began her childcare journey in 2018, driven by a lifelong passion for caring for and supporting children. Always eager to develop her skills and knowledge, she has progressed in her career, taking on leadership roles that allow her to support both children and parents. In 2023, Jess joined the Guildford branch of Pippa’s House as a Room Leader before becoming Deputy Manager. From her very first day, she knew that Pippa’s House was the perfect place for her. Now, as part of the wonderful new Ash Vale setting, Jess is excited to continue her journey in early years. She loves that no two days are ever the same and finds nothing more rewarding than watching children flourish and grow.

The Ash Vale nursery is committed to providing not only a stimulating learning atmosphere but also a holistic approach to well-being.

Rooms

Our settling babies

Our cosy downstairs areas provide a nurturing and welcoming space where infants can settle comfortably, feel secure, and gradually transition from their caregivers. Our dedicated team focuses on creating a warm and engaging environment that fosters strong relationships and supports those important first steps towards independence. We value open communication with parents, ensuring that routines from home are respected and integrated, making the transition into nursery life as smooth as possible for our newest little ones.

Our curious toddlers

Our toddlers are natural explorers, eager to learn and discover the world around them. Using a variety of loose parts and authentic materials, they engage in self-directed play that enhances their creativity and understanding of their surroundings. Messy play activities provide rich sensory experiences, igniting their imagination and supporting their developmental journey. Through play and exploration, toddlers build physical coordination, develop social confidence, and enjoy outdoor activities that promote gross motor skills and a love of nature.

Our independent preschoolers

Our preschoolers thrive in a stimulating and structured environment that helps prepare them for school. We support them in refining their prewriting and prereading skills through tracing, improving pencil grip, and participating in storytelling and discussions. With growing attention spans, they take on more complex and extended activities that develop problem-solving and critical thinking. Creative arts and crafts encourage self-expression, while collaborative projects build social skills and teamwork. As they approach the next stage of their educational journey, we help them develop essential self-care routines to ensure they feel confident and ready for school.

The nursery features four thoughtfully designed rooms, each tailored to different stages of development. From the calm and cosy Baby Room to the lively Boppers rooms that encourage discovery and social interaction, every space supports children’s growth. For preschoolers aged 3 and up, the focus shifts to building vocabulary, recognising letters, and developing early literacy skills. Independence is encouraged through free-choice activities and self-serving during mealtimes. Children are also inspired to explore and ask questions, helping them develop an understanding of the wider world.

The learning experience is further enriched with features like indoor sandpits, small-group focus areas, and a dedicated garden with physical play equipment. Every detail has been carefully considered to make learning engaging and enjoyable.

At Pippa’s House Nursery, the emphasis goes beyond education – it’s about inspiring a lifelong love of learning, promoting independence, and providing a strong foundation for every child’s journey through life.

Each room at our Children's Nursery in Ash Vale boasts unique features tailored to specific age groups:
